| Vincent J. Cooley entered into licensed ministry in 1987 under the late Elder Buford Shaw (Tullahoma, TN) and the late Bishop H. Jenkins Bell, (COGIC, INC.), although it was never officially noted. He did the work of a pastor during an extended illness of Pastor Shaw (late 80's or early 90's) before his passing. After this he continued to preach the word throughout the Middle Tennessee area under Bishop Bell. In 1998 after serving a number of years under Pastor Don Brooks of Murfreesboro, TN the Lord led him in a new direction, into COGIC, Int. where he met Bishop John R. Kersey. After working and traveling with Bishop Kersey for a season it was laid upon Bishop Kersey's heart to make Elder Vincent Cooley his first assistant Bishop in the Alpha Greater Diocese of Kentucky, Int. In that capacity he served for one year when the Lord surprised Bishop Cooley with yet another direction. This time he was guided to move into an independent work. In 2001 Bishop Cooley chartered Freedom Fellowship, Nantionwide under nonprofit organizations with the Secretary of State of Tennessee. Freedom Fellowship is set to move nationwide when God says so be it. | James Gary was born in Hartford, Connecticut on October 21, 1961 to Deacon James and Minister Annie Gary.
